The free, family-friendly fall extravaganza Pumpkin Palooza presented by H.J. Martin is set to take over Titletown Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with fall activities and Halloween fun for all ages.
The event will include free pumpkin carving, with carving tools and pumpkins provided. Carving stations will be located at Hy-Vee Plaza on the east side of Titletown and the Grand Stairs Plaza on the west side. Pumpkin carving is available on a first-come, first-served basis and those planning to carve pumpkins must sign a waiver to participate. Waivers are available to be signed in advance at titletown.com/events/calendar/pumpkin-palooza.
Pumpkin Palooza will also feature interactive games, live music and fun photo ops. Visitors can enjoy fall crafts and art projects, professional carving artists, face painting and pumpkin décor that can be found throughout Titletown on Saturday. Guests are also encouraged to stop by the trick-or-treat station for Halloween surprises. Fall-themed food and beverages will be available for purchase, including apple cider and pumpkin donuts, pumpkin bars and caramel apples.
Live music will be offered throughout the day, with bands FBI and the Untouchable Horns and Hello Weekend performing at the stage on the east end of Titletown. The Oneida Nation Dancers will also perform at the event in celebration of their culture, just a few days after Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Event attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Titletown to help contribute to a collection for the Oneida food pantry. Items needed most include low sugar canned fruits, cereal, peanut butter, noodles, oatmeal, pancake mix and soup.
